Krećemo iz 16. stoljeća, iz kantine mletačkog dvorca, snažne vojne utvrde koja je štitila od najezde Osmanlija, Ulazimo zatim u raskošno razdoblje secesije, kraj 19.stoljeće, doba kada je naša obitelj tu hladnu utvrdu pretvorila u svoj dom. Salon krije priče, jednu neobičnu škrinju, obiteljske tajne i bezbroj rukopisa. Sve je to ostalo zarobljeno u vremenu, netaknuto, očuvano. Silazimo potom u stotina godina staru konobu, sveto mjesto u kojem se pravi vino. Tehnologija se jedva promijenila, stari turanj još uvijek radi, i ništa ovdje nije izložbeno, unatoč starosti i dalje služi proizvodnji vina koje u ovom selu nema elitistički predznak, ne služi kušanju, obrćanju po ustima i definiranju kičastim frazama. Ovdje se s vinom živi.

We start from the 16th century, from the Venetian castle hall, a powerful military fortress that protected  from the invasion of Osman empire. And then we enter the luxurious period of the Secession, end of the 19th century, when our family transformed this cold fortess  into our home. The salon is hiding stories, one mistyrus chest, family secrets, and countless manuscripts. Everything was trapped in time, intact, preserved. We then descend into the hundred-year old cellar, the sacred place where wine is made. Technology has barely changed, the old wine press is still working, and nothing here is exhibit, despite the age it still serves the production of wine that does not have an elitist sign in this village, does not serve for tasting, swirling in mouth and kitschy phrases. Here people live for wine.

#2 Etno eko selo Dol / Ethno ecco village Dol

Maleno mjesto Dol koje danas broji oko sto stanovnika nalazi se dva kilometra južno od Postira. Već na samom ulazu bez daha ostavljaju kuće tradicionalno pokrivene kamenim pločama, kao i brojne špilje od zrnatog kamena hrapoćuše koje su nekada bile ljudske nastambe, a danas skloništa za stoku, spremnici za ogrjevna drva, stanište golubova, sova i vivera, mitskog bića koje se, prema pričama stanovnika Dola, skriva u mjesnim špiljama. Ako imate sreće čuti ćete i njegovo hukanje. Vidjet ćemo i još pokoju beštiju, stari pčelinjak, prošetati najstarijim dijelom sela, pričati o legendama i na kraju jesti i piti.

A small village Dol that today has some hundred inhabitants is located two kilometres southern from Postira. At the very entrance, traditional stone houses will leave you breathless as well as a number of caves made of grained rocks of hrapoćuša, once used as lodgings and today being shelters for cattle, containers for firewood, habitat for pigeons, owls and viver, a mythical creature that, according to the Dol inhabitants’ stories, hides in local caves. If you are lucky you can even hear its hooting.We will see few more animal, old beehives made of stone, walk through oldest part of village, talk about legends and, in the end, eat and drink!

#3 Put procesije / Along the good friday procession

Utabana koracima koji su stoljećima hodočastili ovim putima, procesija u jutro Velikog petka i danas prenosi posebnu priču koja započinje u ranim jutarnjim satima. Križonoša s križem teškim oko 30 kg predvodi pokornički hod dug 5,5 km uz pjevanje tradicionalnog napjeva ”Gospin plač”. U daljini se čuje zvuk škrgojki kojima djeca označavaju stajališta (postaje), no nikad se ne sretnu s procesijom. Osim kraj crkvice sv. Mihovila, jednoj od tri ranokršćanske crkvice koje se nalaze na stazi (tu su još crkvica sv. Petra i crkvica sv. Vida). Sa vidikovca Kučac pruža se nezaboravan pogled na Dol i Postira, a na drugom dijelu puta ćete imati osjećaj da Škrip, Dol i Postira imate na dlanu.

Mi nećemo pjevati ni moliti, ali ćemo prošetati ovom poznatom stazom zajedno, uputiti vas u običaje, pa ako vam dođe i zapjevati, zašto ne. Marenda će nas čekati u kaštilu.

The steps, beaten over the centuries by pilgrims walking along these paths, the procession on Good Friday morning still today transmits a unique story that begins in the early morning hours. A cross bearer with a cross of around 30 kg leads the procession along the 5.5 km long path of penance whilst singing the traditional song ” Our Lady’s Tears”. In the distance the sound of clappers (škrgojke) can be heard with which children mark stations, although they never meet the procession. Close to the small church of St Michael, one of three small early Christian churches located on the path (we can also find the small churches of St Peter and St Vitus here). A breathtaking view over the Dol and Postira is offered from the lookout point of Kučac, whilst on the second part of the journey you will have the feeling of having Škrip, Dol and Postira on your hand.

We will not sing or pray, but we will walk along this famous path together, we will guide you into customs, so if you would like to sing, why not. Marenda (food and wine) will wait for us in the Kaštil.

Preporučamo opremu za slobodno vrijeme sukladno godišnjem dobu i lokaciji na kojoj se program odvija. Obvezne su dobre i udobne planinarske ili sportske cipele za pješačenje, zatvorene do gležnja. Odjeća treba biti udobna i prozračna. Preporučamo i laganu rezervnu obuću (radi presvlačenja nakon programa). Također preporučamo štapove za hodanje u planinama. Obavezna je oprema za kišu (lagana kabanica), zaštita od sunca (krema i naočale za sunčanje), te minimalno 2 litre vode po osobi.

We recommend leisure time equipment suitable for the season and the location. Quality and comfortable trekking or sport shoes closed up to the ankles are obligatory for hiking. Clothing should be comfortable and breathable.We recommend light backup shoes (because of changing after the program). We also recommend walking sticks. It is required for each person to have rain equipment (light raincoat), sunscreen (cream and sun glasses), and at least 2 liters of water per person.
